The organization is currently locked in a legal battle with states implementing strict abortion bans. In Missouri, they filed a lawsuit in an effort to maintain abortion services at the only Planned Parenthood abortion clinic in the state. One of the clinic’s abortion providers, Dr. Colleen McNicholas, previously told ELLE.com, the bans are a “part of a larger trend we are seeing in this country to criminalize not only abortion, but also the people who are having abortions and the physicians who are providing that abortion.”

Cyrus has been extremely vocal about her support of Planned Parenthood. In 2016, she teamed up with Marc Jacobs and artist Marilyn Winter for a portrait series. The 50 limited edition prints were sold for $5,500, and all proceeds benefitted Planned Parenthood.

She’s also spoken out against the recent abortion bans several times on social media, including an Instagram story with a caption reading: “No man should make laws regarding women’s bodies.”

On Tuesday, she shared an image of a cake (first posted on @thesweetfeminist) decorated in icing that says, “Abortion Is Healthcare.”

In addition to supporting abortion rights, Cyrus runs the Hippie Foundation, a nonprofit, “to rally young people to fight injustice facing homeless youth, LGBTQ youth and other vulnerable populations”.

Miley Cyrus has responded angrily online after apparently being grabbed by a stranger in Barcelona.

The singer, writing on Twitter, said: “She CAN’T be grabbed without her consent.”

A video posted online appears to show a fan grabbing the singer by the neck before trying to kiss her.

Miley’s reaction seems to have been a direct response to some social media users who suggested her lyrics or what she wears made her a deserving target.

The Wrecking Ball singer and her husband Liam Hemsworth were being escorted to a waiting car by a security team when it happened.

A video of the incident appears to have been captured by Spanish Twitter user @AlvaroSaucedo13.

Miley reiterated the message on her Instagram stories, writing “#StillNotAskingForIt” over screenshots of comments from fans, including one which said: “You wanted to be ‘sexy,’ what did you expect?”

The former Disney star, who last month appeared at Radio 1 Big Weekend, is due to perform at Glastonbury Festival later this month.

She will also make a return to acting in an upcoming episode of Black Mirror which she’s described as “outrageously out there and dark.”

“This is the story of females in the music industry,” she told Radio 1.

“I understand everyone’s gone through this but I do think for females in the industry… it’s hard to be taken seriously.

“People assume that if you’re not wearing a body suit and singing pop music, why would anyone want to see you?”

Miley Cyrus’ upcoming album is on the way.

The singer posted a picture on Thursday morning (May 9) with the caption, “just played the record for @iHeartRadio and they fucking flipped and so will you!” alongside two images in which she’s posing under the iHeartMedia logo in jeans, a white shirt, black jacket and shades.

Cyrus has kept information about her follow-up to 2017’s Younger Now close to the vest, but earlier this week she dropped the needle on a tiny snippet of a song believed to be titled “Bad Karma” in a video taken after Monday night’s Met Gala.

In a January interview with Most Requested Live with Romeo, she accidentally offered a peek at the song, saying, “Me and [producer] Mark [Ronson] have worked on a bunch of songs on my next record, so I was kind of just in this creative space… Sometimes the visuals of what I can imagine it looking like can even inspire me in the vocal booth, and so you can put those messages you want to bring – what it’s really about to you – into it. I’m such a visual person, that when I record a vocal take – this is really creepy, this is a girl thing – I imagine what lipstick I’ll be wearing in the music video… like ‘Bad Karma’ – ooh, I shouldn’t have said that, well, there you go. A song that we’ve done together…”

The singer has not yet revealed the title or release date of her seventh album.
