Miley Cyrus took to social media on Tuesday night (March 26) to tease that major developments are on the way.

“BIG changes coming soon! Keep ya posted!” the pop star shared in a type-written Instagram story, sending fans buzzing about what the cryptic promise could mean.

In the past week, Miley has been relentlessly teasing music in a series of colourful snaps posted to her Instagram, even using the hashtag #CantRushPerfection to satiate eager fans.

Any new music or other “changes” would be a follow-up to Miley’s latest collaboration with Mark Ronson, “Nothing Breaks Like A Heart,” which peaked at No. 43 on the Hot 100 in January.

Miley Cyrus teased her upcoming seventh album on Monday (March 11) with an epic throwback to her Disney Channel days.

“Listening to M7 like…” the pop star tweeted along with an old photo of herself sharing a pair of headphones with former Hannah Montana co-star Emily Osment.

New music would be a follow-up to Miley’s 2017 album Younger Now. Coincidentally, the tease comes on the heels of last week’s announcement that a Best of Hannah Montana soundtrack is being made available for the first time on vinyl.

Late last month, Miley joked about where her former Disney Channel alter ego would be now during an appearance on the season 11 premiere of RuPaul’s Drag Race. “Whatever happened to her?” RuPaul asked after announcing the week’s lip-sync would be to the Hannah Montana theme song “The Best of Both Worlds.”

“A lot of drugs,” Miley joked as the rest of the judging panel broke out in laughter.

Check out the epic throwback pic in Miley’s tweet below.

Miley Cyrus and Shawn Mendes are hard at work putting the finishing touches on a new single together … TMZ has learned.

Sources familiar with the project tell us the song will drop in the coming weeks … and is likely to end up as a track on Miley’s new album. It’s the first time the duo has paired up for any type of collab.

Shawn and Miley fans started to connect the dots that something was up Tuesday night when Miley posted a photo from rehearsals for the Grammys. Cyrus posed in front of some guitars and amps … and some noticed Shawn’s guitar in the background. What’s more … his name appears to be marked on another piece of equipment.

Mendes is coming off a massive 2018 … and Miley is expected to make a big splash this year with new music of her own. Nothing like a possible Grammys collab to kick things off.

When it comes to fashion, Miley Cyrus wears her heart on her sleeve. Whether she’s sharing her political beliefs via DIY T-shirts or supporting her favorite charities through sneaker collaborations, the singer uses her wardrobe to send a message. Last night at “I Am the Highway,” Cyrus did just that at a concert in Inglewood, California, which honored the late Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell. Cyrus took to the stage to perform “Say Hello to Heaven” in a sweatshirt bearing Cornell’s image.

Paired with glossy PVC pants and platform boots, the T-shirt was a tribute to Cornell’s grunge-influenced personal style, as well as the rock ‘ n ‘ roll swagger that made him one of the era’s most memorable musicians. Though she changed into a violet Alexandre Vauthier mini dress and Saint Laurent glittery boots later in the evening for a different set, Cyrus’s more casual look was the one that struck a chord. It made for a loving tribute that hit all the right marks—the perfect choice for belting out one Cornell’s biggest hits. (more…)
